Our walking is usually of the gentle kind. In the past mountains and long distances were always possible but now knees, backs and other bones tell us that the gentle stroll is the order of the day.
Being in Yorkshire we naturally go to the Yorkshire Dales, the North Yorkshire Moors and the Peak District but at holiday time we always find pleasant walking wherever we are (Cornwall, France, Scotland ....).
The weather is never really a problem. The hills can look wonderful against a blue sky or dark brooding clouds. The only thing we need is a pub half way round!
